This made for a great date night.
My wife and I have attended other live theater locations and but this one had amazing talent. We attended the opening night of Cabernet and were pleasantly surprised with the artist’s ability to sing, wow they could sing.
I happened upon this theater because it is the oldest operating theater in Michigan and one of the oldest in the country so a headline like that had me intrigued enough to at least read the article, but to find out it wasn’t to far away from me to go there and back in a night, we decided to make it a special date night, an anniversary celebration in fact. Then to find out it was opening night awesome. But back to the headline of the oldest in Michigan I just assumed it was going to look a little run down (like it was old and you could tell), but the whole place looks great you couldn’t tell it was more than 50 years old. With updated seats and bathrooms, an updated concessions and even a bar up front. Definitely worth coming back again and again!

Saw Cabaret at this historic venue and WOW?

I've seen Cabaret performed in some world-renowned cities, but THIS cast and performance topped them all! The artistic detail used to convey the theme were fantastic, and the talent of the cast was phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and catch this performance before it's gone!

Recently saw Young Frankenstein at The Croswell. It was wonderful! The cast was excellent! Orchestra - yes there was a live orchestra - really added to the production. Costumes, music and a very talented cast! This was our first visit to the Croswell will definitely be back to this beautiful classic theater.

Great venue. It's great to think about all the performances that have taken place on this stage since 1866! It's amazing that the theater is still up and running.

My wife and I took our son to see the Sponge Bob musical this weekend. I had read up on the Croswell on Wikipedia, and was excited to see the place, and it did not disappoint. What a beautiful building, with great employees and amenities. A little area for cocktails and small snacks before the show, but I had jr so no cocktails this trip.

The show was really great and my son absolutely loved it, and we of course have plans to go see another now. It was a great venue for introducing him to live theater. All of the talent was incredibly good, the singing especially being well above what would be expected for a smaller show with local folks. Just absolutely fabulous by everyone on the stage. Whoever did the casting for this was spot on, as each character really suited their cartoon counterpart, and the orchestra was amazing as well. In particular, we found Squidward to be fantastic, as well as Mr. Crabs and Sheldon Plankton. But none topped Patrick Star, this fella was absolutely perfect in the role, and had us laughing out loud every time he hit the stage. Sponge Bob was also performed perfectly by Mr. Kiss, so well done to everyone on the stage. In the pit, we found all the musicians extremely competent, but the drummer earned our 'wow' the most, what a fantastic percussionist! They all as a team earned a standing ovation from the crowd at the end, and we were (even after quite a long show), sorry that it was over. (You know how difficult it is to keep a 10 yo boy engrossed and interested in something for 3 hours? Not easy!) My son loved every second we were there, as did his mother and father.

Great job to everyone involved. We shall return for more! Be sure not to overlook this gem of classic entertainment that we're so lucky to have right in our back yard!

BRAVO!

Awesome show. Loved it and would definitely see the group again. The guys from the group spent time after the show talking to everyone. Making eye contact while talking to you, which is very important to me. That means they are actually listening.

I always love to go here. The oldest theater in Michigan. The performance of Young Frankenstein was fantastic. I have not laughed that much in years
