A Great local eatery in Greenfield, Massachusetts. I was in town for RPM FEST in a town over to perform. Hope & Olive hit it out the ballpark! Their Cajun Creole Butter Sauced wings was tasting and amazing! Then decided to order their signature burger it was tasty and cooked just like I requested. No complaints. Great staff & food arrived in a timely fashion as we had just arrived in town and needed to get to the RPM FEST venue at a certain time. Hope and Olive always impresses with cuisine and service. Today’s Sunday brunch was a great example! Tuna poke loco with a very generous pile of tuna, seaweed salad, a big honkin piece of roasted broccoli, rice, and a sunny egg. At hope and olive it is never one thing on your plate. It’s a plate of diverse things that play well together! The waffle was grilled perfectly with maple butter and local fruit. There’s a great beer, wine, cocktail, and mocktail list. My partner says H&O has the best chocolate cake in the country. Try it! Service is energetic, friendly, prompt, and helpful. Annnd it is a great value! Reservations are best. Things are good in Greenfield!

We had a fantastic Mother's Day brunch today at Hope and Olive, our first visit to the restaurant. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks were delicious. Mom had a great time and was glad we found the place. We will definitely return.

Decent food, but definitely way too expensive for what it is. If you’re in Greenfield it’s a reasonable option but if you can drive, nearby expensive restaurants like the Blue Heron offer the same, if not better, food for essentially the same cost.
Here’s what we ordered, and what we thought of it:
- The Seafood Scampi has “scallops, shrimp and crab meat” and when it says scallops, they mean the bare minimum number of them to be able to list scallops as plural, i.e. two. My friend and I both ordered it and counted to confirm we both got two scallops, three shrimp, and some heavily diffused, presumably originally canned, crab meat. I understand restaurants need to inflate costs for dishes to stay in business but in this economy, that amount of seafood for a dish that costs 26 dollars is ridiculous. As my boyfriend joked, “Seafood Scampi, more like Seafood Skimpy!”
- The pork chops were good, nicely cooked and smoky, albeit maybe a little tough.
- The “Catalan board” (as someone who actually lived there and speaks Catalan, I can promise you it is not really all that Catalan) was creative with the use of fried manchego, but the romesco itself was pretty bland.
- The mussels were well cooked. The tomato sauce it was cooked in was flavorful but a bit overpowering and made the mussels mostly taste like a tomato soup. It comes with one piece of toast, and when my friend asked for more for dipping into the remaining sauce, we later saw that we were charged a dollar per slice.

Cocktails:
- I got the “Coco Mojo.” Nothing wrong with it per se but not really something I wanted to finish (and didn’t.) Would not have ordered had I known.
- The Rhubarb Gin Sour is a solid choice but not particularly strong in terms of Rhubarb flavor.
- The 24K Magic was good!

My only other note is they had a weird lamp height above our table which I unfortunately hit my head on while sitting down. Not a big deal, but a little frustrating that the server did not seem concerned at all about that, despite standing right there.

We love this place but haven’t been in a while. Still great creative food, lots of gluten free options. Lively atmosphere with very eclectic accents. Parking isn’t terrible you’ll find something quick spring the street generally.

I was in town for Soul Fest this past weekend and as part of the Hospitality team, one of our artists really wanted food from this restaurant. The restaurant not only allowed us to order take out, but was also very quick and the quality of the food was fantastic. While waiting, they let me sit in an area and checked on me throughout the wait. The atmosphere is lively but not obnoxious. It’s definitely a date scene but also could be a place to enjoy dinner or drinks with friends. 10/10 hope I find my way back in Greenfield! Thank you from Soul Fest 2024!

We’ve just had the most delightful experience for dinner! We arrived early and had very solicitous bartenders. We were seated at exactly our reservation time by a friendly hostess despite this being very busy. Our waitress, Renan was incredibly personal and gracious! Thank you to a great team of people.
