Special events at the park are great. They usually last to 3-4 in the afternoon. Plenty of food vendors as well. Then they set up for the horse races, which start around 6-630. Makes for an awesome day at the race track.

Great spot to watch some horse racing. Their Saturday events are great. Dog and kids friendly. Often times they have $1 hot dogs and live music, just check the schedule. Reasonable prices, $10 general admission. Many self service wagering machines, very user friendly. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with the family.

First time to the horse races and did not know what to expect! It was incredible to see horses, zebras, ostriches, and camels race! There was also live music playing outside. Definitely a great experience, especially with family! The only thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars is the confession prices (which all places are expensive), the lines for food, and the lines to bet on the computers.

Make sure to get there early as well as buy admission in advance so you go through the line quickly.

Other than that, highly recommend!

I was invited for a business event that was held in a private suite. We had so much fun!

Margaret took care of us beyond her bartending duties. ? Many of us had never bet on horses before. She explained how to read the race program and how the different bets worked.

Our suite was at the finish line - perfect view of the track.

There was plenty of food and drinks for everyone.

The workers at the betting windows were very patient with me as I struggled a bit with my first few bets.

I can't wait to return on my next trip to the DFW area.

Bar & Book is where I hang out. During the day, it's usually regulars, and when 5-7 o'clock hits more, people may come in, but it's usually slow.

First time attending an event. Had the pleasure of attending the annual opening races. Sat in a box upstairs. The seating was ideal. Several concession options. The food was good. The staff were courteous and helpful. It was a great experience.

I think it is an experience that you have to live even once, I felt like I was in a movie, there was the man who played the trumpet every time a race started, also on the upper floor apparently there was a party and you could see to the women who looked out on the balcony with pretty dresses and big hats, it is a family place, there is space to sit, also for them to bring their own chairs, I really loved it, I would gladly return.
